Mrmcd2015/Food&drinks
Food&drinks are at the center of our activities so this section is dedicated to the "core". We will make wide variety of dishes, however for our community purposes three meals are scheduled per day breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each will be prepared by fhb volunteers coordinated by shift coordinator, 3-5 people per shift should do, aiming to feed around 15-20 people with some lovely creations. Of course we will have "Food Hacking Base MRMCD Party" so you can come and taste or prepare something lovely. All donation based, no one turned away for lack of funds.
Food selection&timing
These are some of the foods which will be available during the day, depending on what's in stock, we do not want to plan too much in advance, there will be some vegan options too.
Breakfast
- 9:00-10:00 main serving time
- preparation starting around 7:00, thanks for helping!
- fruit salad
- crepes
- bread and cheese or jelly
- eggs (fried, boiled or omelet)
Lunch
- 13:00-14:00 main serving time
- preparations starting around 11:00, thanks for helping!
- bread and cheese or jelly
- noodle soup or miso (instant or home made)
- 'poffertjes' (mini pancakes)
- tosti, croque monsieur or croque madame
Dinner
- 19:00-20:00 main serving time
- preparations starting around 16:00, thanks for helping!
- themed dinner from workshop (limited availability)
- pasta, rice, noodles or dahl to feed up to 20-30 people
Tips:
- if you help prepare a meal, you're sure there will be food for you!
- if you want to use our kitchen to cook your own food, please talk to the shift leader and make twice the amount you were planning, and share with others!
Shift system
- suggested three four hours shifts per day to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner
- each shift has it's coordinator taking care about running the shift, preparing the food, drinks and handing the kitchen to the next shift in order to be used straight away
