Welcome to the Food Hacking Base at Maker Faire Ruhr 2016!

==Location/Contact==

Food Hacking Base (fhb) will be located in the main building at the big hall where most of the other projects are going to be, so "happy together". Once we know our exact spot on the map we will share it with you here, however do not worry you will find us easily the place is not so huge. ==Goals==

We will again meet together which will inevitably lead to creation of another "food, drink and bio paradise!" Nice and friendly atmosphere which is inviting for people who would like to learn, teach and share what we are into making it more fun and promoting it later on further in the places where they will go. Our experimental kitchen will be there, so will be the workshop venue so you can join our workshops or give some, have a chat, nice hot coffee or well fermented probiotic drink ...

==Guidelines==

“Be excellent to each other” is our long term moto, Be sensitive about the follow foodhackers around you, keeping them safe from your latest super hack and give them your ear if they need it. Keep in mind that it is the community which matters and you are it's part. Be nice and relaxed, we are always trying to create harmonic environment where ever we go :-).

==Budget==

Our plannned spendings for Maker Faire Ruhr are below €1000. This includes cost of ingredient, some of the equipment and set up and transportation of fhb kitchen. We need to get those funds before and during the event through donations and if possible bit extra to cover up our minus from 2015 which is still in hundreds of €. We need to thank here to the Maker Faire Orga for helping us with covering the travel cost of Frantisek Algoldor Apfelbeck who would not be able to participate without this support, thank you!

==Foodhackingbase/Workshops==

Serving as a hub sharing knowledge and experience theoreticaly and especially for this maker faire practically is what we are after. You can come and join us learning how to make beer, realizing that brewing your kombucha is easy, create some lovely cheese or pop in for our traditional Cheese rendezvous to broaden your horizons and many others. From the hardware and coding the Experimental incubator will be worked on, recipe sharing and more! All donation based, no one turned away for lack of funds, just check it out!

==Gear, Tools and Ingredients==

We will be bringing our kitchen to the event so our wish list should be rather short, however things like oven or 3D chocolate printer which we could use during the event would come handy. We will think and discuss it and update this section soon.
