The FHB wiki uses the additional namespace ''Recipe'' for grouping, well, recipes. All you have to do when creating a new one, is to prefix the page title with "Recipe:", like [[Recipe:Khlav_Kalash]]. It will be listed in the recipe index automatically (may take up to 6 hours). Further subgrouping via categories is planned, but not implemented yet.

In the main namespace, without prefix, categories are currently used for

* [[:Category:Associated groups]]
* [[:Category:Projects]]

To mark a page to belong to one or more categories, just add a tag at the bottom when editing:

===The Aim of the Project===

In this project we are developing a device (incubator or reactor) which will make experimenting with fermentation easier and more fun by being able to control, measure record conditions such as temperature and humidity. The long term goal is to offer the public a blue print of an affordable home fermentation device. Ideally we will produce easy to assemble kits which we make available on-line. If things go really well, we could make a complete, ready-to-use product.
Now, what should our short, medium and long term goals be?

* Versatility - The incubator should allow for a variety of different cultures to be fermented/grown. For example, cultivating yogurt cultures, tempeh, growing mushrooms etc.

* Robust and upgradeable - What we build should last; the old models should be easy and cheap to upgrade to the next generation design specifications.

* Environmentally friendly - If possible, we should try to use materials that do not harm the environment.

* Project continuity - When the working prototype is done, we should start to work on next generation.

As a newbie I volunteered to help with the wiki, mainly solving the
spam problem. I learned about FHB at the 30C3 – although I did just
grab some tasty snacks, I got interested further while listening to one
of the [http://das-sendezentrum.de/?s=30c3 Sondersendung podcasts] afterwards, and I decided to engage. :)

As a newbie I volunteered to help with the wiki, mainly solving the
spam problem. I learned about FHB at the 30C3 – although I did just
grab some tasty snacks, I got interested further while listening to one
of the Sondersendung podcasts afterwards, and I decided to engage. :)

The webspace (<tt>cd html/mediawiki</tt>) is managed as a Git repository for version control. I.e. after making a change, you should check it into repository and write a comment, explaining what you did. That way, the other team members can see who did what, and why.

Just a few Git commands will suffice:

* <tt>git status</tt> – show changed files; should show no results when beginning and ending an admin session
* <tt>git add <filename> [filename...]</tt> – mark changed file for next commit
* <tt>git commit -m 'fired up the foo bar'</tt> – commit marked changes with a certain comment
* <tt>git log -3</tt> – show last three changes
